Snaky

Ooph. Finally. That was difficult. My own doing. Why do it? Why not just pass? No way to know. Nobody would know. Trust that I will not hold it against you, if you skip it!

Word is (was?) snaky. That’s tough to work with.  But I will. I will think of it as brain gymnastics.

500 words? Ouch. Can I do it? I can do it. I will do it. Inspiration for snaky was two-fold. It was a goal in that daily word addiction. And, on a walk that day saw it zigzagging across our grassy path.

Two data points = straight you-know-what.

But snaky is not straight. Snaky is twisty. Snaky is scary, I say. Difficult too. Worth doing though. Difficult stuff usually is.

ALZ and FTD acronyms. Snaky brain afflictions.

How about roads from birth to mortality. Obviously snaky too.

Also obviously animals as snaky things.

Including humans, if that was not obvious. Possibly us humans win all crowns for snaky.

Snaky topics abound. No doubt. But how to broach? How to approach?  Stumps this columnist.

I’ll admit it. It was a poor topic. And it was my choosing! Particularly how I’m approaching it. What do you think? I sat on this for months. Twisting and turning. Snaky it is. Unruly. Truly. Daunting too. Scary.

Scary. Back to that. Avoid, I cannot. Ok. Should not. All in fun is it not?

Alas doing hard things is nightmarish. For the procrastinator particularly. Tomorrow, tomorrow. Such is my avoiding winding way.

Tonight I will finish. Push on. Push on to a conclusion. What a slog it is. Sorry.

Waiting for a point? Ha! Hardly half way. Or did you find it and now it is just  watching paint dry.

Drying. Writing. Thinking. Doing. All action words my mom was good at. Tricks too. Gimmicks. Wordplay. All hints, FYI.

Hints to my snaky conundrum. Kudos to you for sticking around. Alas that is two sixty two. And with that only two thirty two to go.

Round and round this thing is snaky. It will stump this wordsmith. Go on, you try!

Truthfully, this is a grind. I look forward to upcoming topics. Anything but this pain. [Hint coming]…on no occasion again. That’s all I will say.

That is it. Call it a wrap. Why not? Wrap up snaky with ‘wrap’ —that fits just right.

Sorry but I did not hit 500.  Almost. If you round up, with magnanimity plus, it would still miss its mark. Luckily you and I can do without arbitrary absurd goals, and go with an anomalous subpar snaky contribution to kickstart this round.

I’m now officially sworn off snaky. Ooph. Good riddancing. Had my fun. Bring on anything but word gymnastics. My brain hurts.
